2.1 Our website is for your personal and non-commercial use only.
2.2 You agree that you are solely responsible for all costs and expenses you may incur in relation to your use of our website.
2.3 We make no promise that the website is appropriate or available for use in locations outside of the UK. If you choose to access the website from locations outside the UK, you acknowledge you do so at your own initiative and as a condition of your use of our website, you agree not to:
2.3.1 misuse or disrupt the website by knowingly introducing material which is malicious or technologically harmful, or
2.3.2 attempt to gain unauthorised access to our website, the server on which our website is stored or any server, computer or database connected to our website.

Everyone taking part in the London Reading Club’s indoor or outdoor group events and activities, including monthly reading gathering, domestic and overseas trips, does so at their own risk.
We do not employ qualified first aiders on any of our events. The group works on the same basis of being a group of friends who meet or go out together.
Event organisers and event hosts assume no responsibility for anyone attending any group event. London Reading Club, activity organisers and event hosts will not be held responsible for any accident, injury, damage or loss occurring as a result of any event or in connection with travel to such event, however caused.
When you join an event, you indicate that you accept these conditions and accept that no legal liability is accepted by London Reading Club, event organisers and hosts in the event of accident or injury, however caused.
Participants in group events are reminded that activities may need specialist equipment and the group does not provide these. Participants are responsible for assessing their own risk, the safety of themselves and the suitability of any equipment used. Any medical conditions that may affect the participants during the event should be notified to the organisers prior to registering your interest.
In any event that a deposit is required as a condition to participate in any event, once a participant's place in the event has been confirmed by the event organiser, the participant acknowledges and agrees that the deposit becomes non-refundable after the confirmation date. The participant unable to attend can transfer his/her place to another member of the London Reading Club. Such a transfer is subject to the consent of the relevant event organiser and must be communicated and approved prior to the event. While accepting no responsibility or liability, for any events, the event organisers or hosts may, at their discretion, not admit you to join the event.
Pets are strictly not allowed for any of London Reading Club’s events.
London Reading Club will be taking photos and/or film footage at group events. By attending any event orgainsed by London Reading Club, whether as a participant or otherwise (e.g. as a supporter), you acknowledge that images may be captured during the event using film photography, digital photography, video or other medium and may be used by the London Reading Club to promote the organisation and its work, or other future events by the London Reading Club via the below platforms, including but not limited to
London Reading Club acknowledges its responsibilities in capturing images by photography or other means in particular with reference to:
• The Protection of Children Act 1978;
• An individual’s right to privacy under The Human Rights Act 1998; and
• The Data Protection Act 1998 and
• General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
Where possible and practical to do so, London Reading Club shall seek consent in respect of image capture. Where this is not possible for practical reasons, unless express objections are received, individuals attending these events are deemed to have given their consent by attending or remaining at the event. No image shall be used by London Reading Club for commercial purposes without express consent of the individual(s) captured in that image.
London Reading Club shall take no responsibility for the capture and use of any images taken at the event by any third party not directly engaged by London Reading Club to do so on its behalf and accepts no liability for the actions of such third parties.
Imageswill be stored securely, and will be deleted after they are no longer needed for publicity purposes. If you would prefer not to be photographed or not to be published, please speak to the event organiser before the event starts.
